Kids Safe Parent Evening
Speakers from the Kid Safe Organisation will talking about how to keep your child safe while on the internet. The meeting will be held in the hall from 7pm to 8pm with childcare facilities provided.

Staff Changes
Miss Amanda Kemp and Mrs Kim Ah Tani will be leaving us at the end of the term. We would like to thank them both for their commitment to the children in their care and wish them all the best for the future.

Senior School Market Days
As part of their Inquiry topic for Term 4, the senior school have been looking at marketing and financial literacy. The culmination of this work will be to showcase the small companies they have created. There will be a Market day on Thursday 3rd December from 12.30pm to 3pm, where there will be items for sale. On Thursday 10th December from 11am to 3pm there will be paid activities, including Slip and Slide.

School Books
All school resources need to be returned this Friday 27th November. We would be grateful if you could check under beds and on bookshelves for any school readers or library books.

Reports and Portfolios
Reports, portfolios and class placements for next year will be sent home on Thursday December 10th.

As the warmer and sunnier weather approaches, all children will be expected to wear a sunhat. Any child not wearing their sunhat will need to sit in shaded areas at morning tea and lunchtime.

Digital Classrooms 2016
The Chromebook contracts will be ready next week for parents of children who will be in Year 5 or 6 in 2016. Please log into https://www.schoolinterviews.co.nz/  to book a time to meet Julie Worthington and Matt Riceman in the school office over the next few weeks. The password is KF3LS
If you are paying the full cost straight away, you will still need to meet with Julie and Matt to go over the "Kawa of Care" contract. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to phone or come in and see us.

Contact Details
It is important that we are able to contact parents/caregivers if your child is sick or injured. If your details have changed, please let the office know, so that we can update our records.

Drop Off Zone
Just a reminder that you cannot park and leave your car in the drop off zone outside the school office on the driveway. The school grounds are very congested at the beginning and end of the day and parents need to be able to pull up and drop off or pick up children safely.

Breakfast in Schools
Breakfast club operates on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. Breakfast will be served from 8am until 8.30am in the hall.

Walking School Bus
Don't forget the bus runs every day, starting at 8.30am (Dominion Rd Extn route) and 8.00am (McKinnon St route). The Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday route begins outside the Roskill South Kindergarten and travels along to Glass Rd (where the first stop is) and the second stop is on the corner of Quona Ave and Albrecht Ave, then onto the school entrance. The McKinnon St route now operates 5 days  week and begins on the corner of McKinnon St and Morrie Laing Ave, then travels along Albrecht Ave, past the end of Halleys Place and finally walking up the backtrack.
Friends of the School
We have a Friends of the School committee which is a group of parents who help out with fundraising and volunteering at the school. If you are interested in joining, please see Julie in the office.

Wednesday Subway Lunches
Subway envelopes are available from the office and orders are placed at the school office by 9am, Wednesday mornings. Please ensure that the correct amount of money is in the envelope.    
Sausage Sizzle
The Sausage sizzle is every Friday.
Sausages - $1.50 (includes bread, sauce and serviette)
Iceblocks / Icecreams - $1.50

Permission to leave School
If you need to take your child out of school early you must first sign your child out at the office before you collect them from the classroom. Office staff will give you a yellow slip, which needs to be given to the classroom teacher before the child is released.
