Inquiry Learning Pakirehua

At Waikōwhai Primary School we use an inquiry approach to learning.  

Each year we focus on one big concept, with each term zooming in on a different aspect of this.  

We balance the Social Studies, Science, Technology and Health learning areas of the New Zealand Curriculum across the year to ensure our students are experiencing a variety of content and developing skills across these learning areas.  

We focus on one or two of the Key Competencies each term, detailing how we will incorporate learning around these in our long term planning.
