Social Worker In Schools (SWiS)
Our school social worker, is Renee Comber. Her office is located in Te Ana Ako. She is onsite Wednesday and Thursday. You can contact her on 627 9665, extension 214.
School Uniform

Bucket hats are also available for purchase from the school office. These must be worn in Term One and Term Four.
KickStart Breakfast.
Waikōwhai Primary runs a programme providing a nutritious breakfast of milk, Weet-bix, toast and Milo. Breakfast club operates Monday to Friday with the help of parent volunteers. If you are available to help out, please contact the school office via the contact us page.
Fonterra and Sanitarium supply the milk and Weet-bix and the school provides the bread and Milo. Our breakfast starts at 8:15 am and they serve until 8:45 am.
Before and After School Care
Before and after school care services are provided by Carpe Diem Kids Waikōwhai.

Before and after school care is provided in our school hall every day. The programme is fully approved by Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) and Child, Youth and Family (CYF).
Fee Structure - Before School Care (Breakfast is included)
Before School Care operates between 7.00am and 8.30am
is $15.50 per day
Fee Structure - After School Care (afternoon tea included)
Early Pickup: 2:45pm-3:30pm is $6.50
2:45pm - 3:30pm os $16.50
After School Care: 2:45pm-6:00pm is $21.50
You only pay if your child is booked for the day. Parents can amend their bookings up to 9pm the night before. A partial rate of $10.00 will be charged for same-day cancellations, so please cancel your booking before 9pm the day before to avoid this fee. Work and Income have increased their income thresholds so that more families will be eligible for the Oscar Subsidy from April 2023. School Assemblies
Classes host full school assemblies according to the timetable below. Friday morning assemblies are an opportunity for students to share their learning, and for us to celebrate their progress and achievement. Assemblies begin at 9:15 am. We encourage parents and whanau to come along and enjoy the class assemblies with us.
